Honda Civic Si A Sports Compact Car

The Japanese automaker, Honda, had made it into market its new SI series. SI, which stands for "Sport Injected", had made its way to North American and Japanese car buyers very well. It is taunted as the most powerful model for Civic compared to the other ones that are in the market today.

The origins of Honda Civic SI can be traced back in 1984 when it first debuted. As Honda entered the dawn of the millennium, it revolutionized and redesigned the said model but retaining its hatchback in the year 2002. Its body shape was the product of the inception of the concept "New Bullet-form".

The goal of the manufacturer is to create a dynamic appearance of the car as well as a more stabilize car for highways and even to the most rugged country road. This design has been otherwise known as "Cult Car". This rapid design had attracted many enthusiasts. The new Honda Civic SI had adopted the engine "K-series" and the power plant known as K20A3 i-VTEC. The performance level of the newly redesigned Civic SI has been giving dismay to some fanatics. Probably the switch from double-wish suspension to McPherson strut contributes to the disappointments of adherents because it lessens its sporty character.

Adding to that is the drastic increment of its weight to up to 150 pounds which has an effect on car's speed. With lessons learned from its predecessors, some major changes had been added to the redesigned Honda Civic SI in its 2006 release. With a 197-horsepower and a 6 speed manual transmission, a 2.0 i-VTEC engine is added to its new version creating a better performance level for SI. The sedan version of Honda Civic SI was made into public by Honda in 2007. Its market debut was in the Chicago Auto show.

Improvements of the 2007 version includes the vehicle stability assist, body-color-grill, darker silver wheels, deck lid spoiler, and a reversal color scheme of black and red as secondary gauges. One might be surprised that the floor matting has the embroidered Honda Civic SI logo on its top. For the new 2008 model, the Honda Civic SI underwent some minor changes such as: the coupe has a revised spring rate, the upper arm contained a new rear, and sensor monitor which is tire pressured.

With several redesigning it undergone since 1984 up to the present, improvements just would never stopped for its adherents to continue to patronize Civic SI. Perhaps, having a Civic SI would be even better if it is matched with the perfect accessory none other than the Honda Civic SI Keychains that can be readily bought in the market. Keychains will surely be a good accessory especially for a sporty car like SI. With Honda Civic SI and the elegant keychain, one's lifestyle would be complete.
